Centurions Castle Knightstone
******************************

A plugin for "The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion"
Created with US-version 1.2.0416 ("Shivering Isles" and latest patch for Oblivion required!)

This plugin adds a buyable Castle and a farm to the southern borderline of "The West Weald" (have a look at "Castle-Knightstone_Location.jpg" for the exact location) which can be bought by the player.
Talk to Malipus to buy it (he can be found in the castle courtyard or inside the maintower of the castle).

Castle Knightstone is a major updated and relocated version of "Castle Domrose". Although its an update, "Castle Knightstone" and "Castle Domrose" can be used together without conflicts.

Features / usage of that plugin:
********************************
-All needed "DistantLOD"-files included to show up the castle in far distance
-Castle Knightstone is fully furnished and includes a living-area for your servants and guards (Main-Tower, South-West-Tower, Gatehouse), sleeping rooms (including a small bath) for the castle owner and his/her guests (Main-Keep and Main-Keep-Tower), a kitchen with storage area and an alchemy-lab (with two ingredient sorters!) inside the Main-Keep-Tower.
-A smithing-area and a treasury can be found down in the basement of the Main-keep.
-The working drawbridge can be raised / lowered by activating one of the two levellers close to the drawbridge.
-A sideentry on the west side enables the player to leave the castle through a cave. There is also an secret escape way leading from the Main-Tower-Basement to the Winecellar of the Knightstone farm. The farm is also the place where you should stable your horse (no horse-riding within the castles courtyard - you may get stuck-!)
-All your storage should be save inside the walls of Castle Knightstone (no respawning containers beside the one marked with a foreign ownership ("Castle Knightstone Servant Food Cupboard" is used to "feed" the servants)
-Ragnor, the smith is offering his services from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm down in the basement
-Lakrom, the alchemist is offering her services from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm inside the Main-Keep-Tower
-There are two ingredient sorters inside the alchemy lab (Mainkeep-Tower); the left one sorts all ingredienst out of "vanilla Oblivion" and the right one will handle the ingredients out of "Shivering Isles". The sorter can be activated by touching one of the crystalballs standing on the left (Oblivion-sorter) or right (Shivering Isles sorter) side of the stone table; the ingredients will be sorted into the shelves above the stone table. There is also one addition ingredient shelf for "foreign" ingredients (ingredients out of any plugins); but there is no sorter for it, you will have to put the ingredients in it by doing it yourself.
-static (master) alchemy apparati (can be found inside the alchemy lab (Mainkeep-Tower) of the castle; the activator apparati act just like the spellmaking and enchanting altars. Simply activate them. A set of master apparati will be added to your inventory and you will be informed that an alchemical experiment has begun as the alchemy window appears. Closing the alchemy window removes the apparati from the players inventory until he reactivates the static apparati.)

What else to know?
-This plugin was created to be used in common with "Knights of the Nine" and is full compatible with that official plugin but it doesnt require it; it can also be used without "Knights of the Nine".
-If you cannot afford the castle at once you may use the "South-East-Tower" as a home as long as you have spared enough gold to buy the castle.
-The dialogue "Castle Knightstone" of the NPC Milapius uses "silent" mp3-files (there is no voice-acting!)

Installation:
*************
-Unzip "Castle_Knightstone.7z" anywhere you wish,
-copy all unzipped files out of "Castle_Knightstone.7z" ("Castle_Knightstone.esp plus all directories!) into your "Oblivion\Data\" directory.
-When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then check off "Castle_Knightstone.esp" and run the game.
+Hint regarding "Knights of the Nine": Keep "Castle_Knightstone.esp" always loaded after "Knights.esp" to get these two plugins playable without any landscape conflicts!

Parts of this plugin (the included farm) are beyond the border, so you need to disable "Border Regions"!
There are two ways you can do that (choose the one you like more):
First alternative solution:
You need to open your "Oblivion.ini" located in "C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion" and search there for Border and change the value from 1 to a 0.
Second alternative solution:
If you dont want to touch your "Oblivion.ini"-file, you can use as an alternative the included plugin "Border-Region-disabled.esp". Just enable this plugin When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then check off "Border-Region-disabled.esp".

Uninstallation:
***************
First step:
When you run Oblivion, click on Data Files, then uncheck "Castle_Knightstone.esp"

Second step:
Due the LOD-files you must also delet following files in following directories (or the distant land/castle out of "Castle Knightstone" will stay visible in the game):

Directory: "...Oblivion\Data\DistantLOD\"
Files:
"Tamriel_-1_-6.lod", "Tamriel_-2_-3.lod", "Tamriel_-2_-4.lod", "Tamriel_-2_-5.lod",
"Tamriel_-2_-6.lod", "Tamriel_-2_-7.lod", "Tamriel_-3_-4.lod", "Tamriel_-3_-5.lod",
"Tamriel_-3_-6.lod", "Tamriel_-3_-7.lod", "Tamriel_-4_-5.lod", "Tamriel_-4_-6.lod",
"Tamriel_-4_-7.lod",

Directory: "...Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Landscape\LOD\"
File: "60.-32.-32.32.NIF"

I added a directory to the files called "used-plugins-in-Castle_Knightstone" which contains all readmes of the used models/mods in "Castle Knightstone" (if available). If you wish to use some of the models in your own plug-in you should have a look into it. In no special order I used the work of the following authors in "Castle Knightstone":

PS33:
-scripts for the the ingredient sorter

Wormheart:
-"Working Gates"

Phoenix:
-"2 fireplaces"
-2 shelves out of "Ingredient Storage Shelves"

Shawn Dworshak a.k.a. Academician Nwahs
-"Oblivion Static Alchemy Mod"

Xiamara:
-"Sofa and Chair Set 1"

Wildkarrde:
-"Iron stove"

Vality:
-3d maps of Cyrodiil, Shivering Isles and Vvardenfell

Texian:
-"Static Water Meshes"
