Dongle's Water Pack
version 1.1
-------------------------

A Collection of Static Animated Water Meshes for Morrowind

-------------------------

This is a collection of animated water meshes for world builders to use
in Morrowind. No playable mod is included in this pack, nor any new
textures, just .nif files. Use 'em anyway you like.

-------------------------

Everything has an animated water effect. Most are the same animation as
the stock game's ocean water. It looks exactly like the ocean, if you
turn your pixel shaders off. A few of the terrain pieces use the texture
from the Vivec waterfall, with a faster panning animation, but still not
as fast as the stock waterfalls.

-------------------------

Items named beginning with "DG-WT" are terrain building objects. Use them
for rivers flowing downhill, pools of water above the ocean level, Koi
ponds, etc. Meshes with "Static" in the name are the stock ocean annimated
water as detailed above. Use them for calm pools. Meshes with "Flow" in the
name are the same animation, but pan from one side of the mesh to the other.
This gives the effect of flowing water. Use them for rivers. Meshes with
"Rapid" in the name use the waterfall texture, and a fast panning animation.
Use them for rivers with a steeper slope.

Items named "Circle" are 16-sided and the numbers correspond to their diameter.
Items named "Rect" are rectangular, and the numbers are the dimensions of each
side. Items named "Square" are four-sided and the numbers are the dimensions
of the sides. Items named "Curve" are elbow shaped curves, the first number
is the width, the second the angle of the curve. One can connect curves with
rectangles to make meandering rivers.

All terrain pieces are double-sided and can be flipped if needed. This will
reverse the flow direction of the curve pieces. It is also safe to let them
be seen from both sides.

There are 29 terrain pieces with animated water in total.

In v1.1 I've corrected a bug that made the animations start randomly. You will
now be able to tile squares and/or rectangles and the water animation will flow
seamlessly across the mesh edges.

-------------------------

You can add any of these in the editor as statics, they will animate fine.
No script is necessary to start the animation. They can be used as activators
as well. One neat trick would be to add them as activators and add a script to
play a water sound. The animation will not play in the editor's preview window,
you will only see the animation in-game. There are no X_.nif, or X_.kf files,
only a single _.nif file is needed for each mesh.

Anytime I do animated textures the .nifs will confuse the NifTexture skinning app.
To re-skin these you will need to hex-edit them.

-------------------------

You are free to use this in any Morrowind project you wish. Asking ahead is not
necessary. Giving credit is not necessary, although you are welcome to if you wish.

If you wish to modify this in any way, ie edit the mesh or the texturing, you
may do so. Please credit yourself with the final product and not me. Also please
change the filenames to avoid conflicts with mods that use the unaltered files.

No additional usage restrictions may be added.

Please do not port for use outside of The Elder Scrolls series.

You may add these to your fan site for download.
Please keep the original .zip file intact with this ReadMe.
