Imperial Gate Pack

A pack of Imperial gate meshes for Morrowind

-------------------------

A replacement for the boring, wimpy, Imperial doors. Two styles of medieval
doorways -- one solid, one with gaps you can see through -- in large and
small sizes. Door jambs are included that fit the standard Imperial exterior
wall arches, the interior four-way, and a more substantial door frame to use
on the side of a keep. There is also an exterior piece to fit the Imperial
"wall" series but with a bigger arch, as in the "bridge" and "dock" series.

They are sized and pivoted correctly to work as swinging doors, or you may
also use them as load-doors. The open style see-though gates look especially
good when used between interior four-way pieces.

-------------------------

The models are original creations by me, they all use the stock game's textures.
The "wall" piece is a modified Bethesda one.

-------------------------

To avoid confusion here are the mesh names, and what they do:

DGL_GateBig_01.nif -
    - Large Gate, solid style.
DGL_GateBig_02.nif -
    - Large Gate, open style.
DGL_GateBig_Ex_Frame.nif -
    - Door Frame, to fit the large gates,
      buts up against a wall,
use for an entrance to a keep.
DGL_GateBig_Ex_Jamb.nif -
    - Door Jamb, fits the large gate,
and the wall pieces with a large archway.
DGL_GateBig_In_Jamb.nif -
    - Door Jamb, fits the large gate,
and the interior big four-way piece.
DGL_GateSmall_01.nif -
    - Small Gate, solid style.
DGL_GateSmall_02.nif -
    - Small Gate, open style.
DGL_GateSml_Ex_Frame.nif -
    - Door Frame, to fit the small gates,
      buts up against a wall,
use for an entrance to a keep.
DGL_GateSml_Ex_Jamb.nif -
    - Door Jamb, fits the small gate,
and the standard wall with a small archway.
DGL_GateSml_In_Jamb.nif -
    - Door Jamb, fits the small gate,
and the interior big four-way piece.
DGL_Imp_Wall_BigArch_01.nif -
    - Standard Imperial wall piece,
modified with a larger archway to fit the large gate/jamb.

The jambs and frames will snap to at high grid settings. You may need to
go down to a grid snap setting of eight in some cases to place the gates
themselves. Make sure you line up those hinges!

When using a gate in a wall arch you should sink the wall mesh into the ground
by 256 units. Make sure the ground is fairly flat so the gate won't clip into
the ground when it swings open.
